ASK #005 - Confusion

Confusion


Sometimes things happen in life that we just don't understand.  These happen simply  because of the fallen world we live in.   As much as your human nature tries to discover and understand what is happening and why, we are just not meant to know and understand everything.  Thoughts of “What did I do wrong?” “Should my focus have been different?”  “Why the suffering and separation?”  All these questions pop into someone's mind trying to make sense of the results of a fallen world.  You didn't do anything wrong....we are just part of a broken world and in this situation GOD is calling you to use your time wisely....draw closer to Him.   


Whether it be a physical separation between you and loved ones…


Or a more definitive structure that will separate you from dangers…


The Lord always has our best interests in mind and requests that we come to Him during these times.


Sometimes the Lord puts times of separation in your life to heal you.  Other times it is to draw you closer to Him and understand His will for your life.  These "temporary separations" occur to force us to lean on Him in love.   The Lord allows us these “downtimes” to allow us to think about, process and deal with life and see how we are dependant on Him for all we do.  God doesn't want us to allow ANYTHING of this world to keep us from Him and being in His love and presence.

Hebrews 11:6  And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.



He wants us to take that step in faith and move forward.  Don’t let anything interfere with the will of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.


So go out…keep asking, seeking and knocking and He will swing the doors wide open and roll the stones away.

  Faith or Fleshly desires written: September 13th, 2022   2 Thessalonians 3:10 (NIV) For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”   So this verse prompted me to go and read the context of the verse to get true meaning for this verse.   At first glance you think "hmmm...that makes sense, you don't work, you don't get paid, you can't buy food."  But I am sure there is more to it than that.  So I went to 2 Thessalonians 3 and read the full chapter.  This is what I got from it.   2 Thessalonians is full of information about the end times but it also tells us that we are to work for what we have, not to be idle and to pray for others.   Paul felt led to write the second set of letters in 2 Thessalonians because there was so much false teachings going on and he wanted the believers to know and understand the truth as well as to understand and know his handwriting so they are not deceived...
